Last May, we committed to give a portion of our proceeds from the Santacruzan project to Angat Basa Programme of Angat Buhay NGO in the Philippines. We wanted to still have an impact on the lives of our kababayans back there, who are in the midst of an Education Crisis. We coordinated with Angat Buhay’s Community Engagement Manager Ms. Kai Jagape and Chester Tolentino of Angat Buhay Literacy Hub Zamboanga City.
The money that we have given them was to support the learners with school supplies and the teachers with transportation costs (many volunteers are coming from other barangays far away from the hub proper). Last September, they have started their second batch of learners.

Thank you so much to all our supporters and donors. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to extend a helping hand to uplift some of our Filipino children’s competency in reading and comprehension.
Let us keep the Bayanihan Spirit alive.
